Brant Wilkie

Brant Wilkie, serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors.

He was born and grew up in Evansville, Indiana; graduating from North High School in 1971. He received an AAS degree in Commercial Art and majored in history at the University of South Florida. In 1994 he graduated from a theological seminary with a Master of Divinity (M.Div)degree.

Despite a full measure of church involvement while growing up (Sunday School and weekly worship, VBS, summer camp, and confirmation, etc.), Brant, in his own words, was very much a decadent son of the 60s until becoming a Christian in 1974. He was involved in the start-up of Christian evangelical church, which eventually grew to be a mega-church, and served as a leader in its college/career ministry. He has also been a church planter, a senior lay leader, and an ordained pastor.

Brant has been a guest speaker and preached in much of the Midwest and Southeast and, though technically retired, continues to have an active non-denominational mentoring, counseling, and preaching ministry while also operating a small landscape construction business. He also spent several years teaching Old Testament, Apologetics, Ancient Near Eastern History, and New Testament in a classical academy. He also was a leader in organizing a 40,000 door to door Bible distribution campaign in Charleston, WV.

Most of Brant's secular work experience has been in sales and marketing. He has been a staff artist and graphic designer, owned a sign company (twice), and managed stores and businesses as diverse as furniture and carpet, ceiling fans, lawn care, and landscaping. He also has worked as a carpenter and dishwasher, sold pest control services, and even done a little farming and tending an orchard. All very rich in experience, but not necessarily in dollars.

Brant and his wife, Julie, have been married 45 years and have 5 children and 10 grandchildren. They have been wonderfully blessed to have them all walk with the Lord.

Brant has many favorite Bible verses, but he was converted to the faith by the Lord one night when he was reading John 14:6. And he finds much ongoing encouragement and direction from John 8:32.
