Statement of Faith

Our beliefs according to the Bible

(Genesis 1:1) (I Cor. 8:6)

We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.

(Hebrews 4:12) (II Timothy 3:14-17) (I Peter 1:23-25)

We believe the Bible is the living Word of God.

(John 1:1-4) (John 3:16-18) (Col 1:15-20)

We believe in Jesus Christ, the only eternally begotten Son of the Father. Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord by Whom, and through Whom, and for Whom the Father created the world.

(John 15:26) (John 16:7-11) (Eph 1:13)

We believe in the Holy Spirit. He is the seal of salvation for Christians, and He convicts humanity of sin, righteousness, and judgement.

(Matt 28:19) (1 Cor 8:6) (2 Cor 13:14) (Col 2:9) (Is 9:6)

We believe that these three, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, are one God; distinct, but not divided. They are of one essence and share the same power and glory.

(Luke 1:26-35, 2:4-7) (1 Pet 2:22) (Heb 4:15)

Jesus Christ as the Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life.

(Luke 23:23-25, 46, 52-53) (I Cor 15:3-4) (2 Cor 5:21)

He was crucified, died, and was buried as a substitute for our sins.

(Luke 24:6-7) (Heb 1:3)

On the third day He arose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.

(II Timothy 4:1) (Rev 22:12)

In the fulness of time, He will return to judge the living and the dead.

(Ephesians 2:8-10) (Gal 3:1-3, 10-14) (I John 1:9)

Salvation is for all those who trust Jesus to save them from their sins by His substitutionary death, and are saved by grace through faith, and not by their works.

(Eph 2:19-22) (I Cor 12:12-13) (2 Cor 5:16-21) (Gal 2:20) (Matt 28:19)

Believers, having received the identity of being in Jesus Christ, are part of the household, status, and authority of God, and are commissioned by Him to be ambassadors of Christ to the world.

(John 13:34) (1 John 2:9-11) (1 John 3:16-18, 23) (1 John 4:7-9)

Jesus places a primary emphasis on loving each other as He loved us, and will empower us to do so as we walk with Him.

(Matt 28:20) (Heb 13:5-6) (John 10:28) (John 14:16)

Jesus wants believers to be continually reminded that He will never leave us or forsake us.

(I Thessalonians 4:13-18) (Matt 7:21-23) (Luke 13:23-30) (Heb 6:2) (John 6:40) (John 17:3) (John 10:28)

Those who have been saved will inherit eternal life in which they will live forever in relationship with God; those who are not saved, will spend forever separated from God.
